Cyrus Norcross – What happens if the pipeline is completed? “I’m thinking some of the people here might get violent. It’s going to be pretty heartbreaking for a lot of people, but at the same time, it’s going to make a lot of people who didn’t support it open their eyes up when the pipeline breaks open and pollutes the water. People are going to realize, wow, we should have been supporting the natives here, Standing Rock, but it will be too late by then. Hopefully it opens up peoples eyes.” Is this resistance movement something that can move to another fossil fuel fight? “Definitely can. It’s definitely a big jump for a lot of the resistance movements against pipelines and saving Mother Earth.” What affect will Donald Trump’s election have on you? “Its good and bad. He’s definitely more about providing jobs, regardless if it’s with oil, which is good for people, but a lot of us, it’s going to be a lot tougher fight. He’s more into the oil industry, instead of alternative energy. Everyones going to have to rally together to stop it.”
