Seattle’s Westlake Park was the rally point for Seattle’s solidarity action and silent vigil for Ferguson, MO. More than 150 activists and community members tied red ribbons to their arms and stood in silence for an hour as Seattle’s rush hour traffic flashed by with horns and sirens. The white noise of the city drowned out by the silence of anger, the silence of sadness, fear, and frustration. Fists were raised, messages were sent, and solidarity was shown from Seattle.
